Government approves the Strategy for the Development of Voluntary Free Donation of Blood and Blood Components

the strategy’s implementation areas are in line with ukraine’s european integration commitments under the association agreement between ukraine and the european union, which, in particular, sets out a course to intensify cooperation with the eu in the field of blood services. the strategy was approved for the period until 2028. a corresponding action plan for its implementation in 2024-2026 was also approved.

25 doctors of physical and rehabilitation medicine from different regions of ukraine are undergoing training with the participation of leading french specialists in prosthetics and rehabilitation from the ugecam nord-est medical association. the training takes place in the format of a professional school, during which participants will listen to theoretical lectures focused on the rehabilitation of people with amputations. each lecture day is followed by a case study and practical exercises.
Over 4,400 war-affected Ukrainians evacuated for treatment abroad

for two years of full-scale war, the ministry of health of ukraine, together with the european commission, who, and other partners, has been organizing evacuation flights for injured ukrainians to be treated abroad.in total, 4,417 people have been evacuated, including patients with mine injuries, those in need of prosthetics, and cancer patients. in addition, more than 600 children with injuries and cancer are among the evacuees.

thanks to the cooperation of the ministry of digital transformation of ukraine and the ministry of health of ukraine with donors, healthcare facilities in 20 regions of ukraine and kyiv received 300 battery systems. the devices will provide hospitals with backup power, so doctors will be able to continue saving lives even during power outages or power cuts.
In 2023, 19,851 people fell ill with tuberculosis in Ukraine
