Viktor Liashko visited hospitals in the frontline zone of Kharkiv oblast
Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko paid a working visit to the frontline zone of Kharkiv oblast, where he met with doctors and hospital owners.
“For more than a year, Kharkiv oblast has been one of the key areas on the front line of the medical front. 24/7 assistance is provided to both civilians and military personnel. I understand that the conditions are extremely difficult. Therefore, I do not get tired of thanking our heroic doctors for their selfless, often grueling work, which is often accompanied by a risk to their own life. Even in this situation, you continue to save people. The task of the state is to help you by providing you with everything necessary to provide high-quality, affordable and free medical care. That’s why I’m here. To see firsthand and hear from you directly about all the difficulties that arise, and try to quickly resolve these issues together,” Viktor Liashko said.
During the meetings, they discussed providing medical institutions with the necessary medicines and medical equipment. The Ministry of Health is constantly working on updating the material and technical base of hospitals. It is extremely important that the new equipment is installed and put into operation as soon as possible, that is, it can work for the needs of patients. They also discussed the state of salary payments to medical workers.
In addition, in the context of constant enemy attacks on our infrastructure, the issue of ensuring an uninterrupted power supply to medical institutions is becoming increasingly relevant because this is the key to the uninterrupted provision of medical services. The ministry is working on gradually equipping hospitals with alternative energy sources.
It should be recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, hospitals in the frontline Kharkiv oblast have received 13 oxygen stations, an angiograph, and a number of critical equipment.
