... of specialists in field epidemiology is important during the war when it is necessary to respond quickly to complex and combined threats and emergencies in the field of public health, to prevent outbreaks of infectious diseases. this was stated by the chief state sanitary doctor of ukraine during the conference on interventional epidemiological service (ies).the educational program “interventional epidemiology service – ukraine” for ukrainian specialists was introduced in 2018. in six years, 167 specialists have been trained, and 52 more residents are currently studying. in 2023, the ukrainian field epidemiologist training program received an award from the us centers for disease control and prevention.
