Ukrainian hospitals received 161 anesthesia and respiratory devices to be used during complex surgeries

Healthcare facilities in different oblasts of Ukraine received 161 modern anesthesia and respiratory devices to provide inhalation anesthesia during surgeries of varying degrees of complexity. It should be noted that the medical equipment was purchased as part of a joint project of the Ministry of Health and the World Bank and with additional funding from the project “Ukraine Emergency Covid-19 Response and Vaccination Project”.

Such medical equipment allows doctors to effectively and efficiently prevent life-threatening situations, control the depth of anesthesia, etc. In addition, the equipment is used for high-tech surgical interventions.

The anesthesia and respiratory devices have been delivered to medical facilities in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi oblasts and the city of Kyiv. The equipment is being delivered under the current needs of each region. Shortly, the delivery of the devices to healthcare facilities in Ternopil, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Donetsk oblasts is planned.

Despite the war, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and its partners continue to provide hospitals with critical medical equipment so that medical facilities can function fully and doctors can work and save as many lives and health of Ukrainians as possible.
