Ukraine receives 18 ambulances from the Slovak government

Medical institutions in the frontline oblasts have received ambulances to improve access to medical services. The vehicles are part of the humanitarian aid provided by the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic with the assistance of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Ukraine.

The donated vehicles will be used to transport medical workers to the most remote areas of Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kherson and Donetsk oblasts. And if necessary, they will be used to transport residents to medical facilities comfortably and safely.

It should be noted that the donation of vehicles is of great importance in the context of the growing workload in the healthcare and social services sector due to the war. In particular, additional transportation will help overcome challenges such as staff shortages and lack of specialized services.

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine expresses its gratitude to all partners and allies for the help and important support provided to Ukraine in this difficult time.

It should be recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale war, russia has damaged 235 ambulances, destroyed 264 and stolen 125 ambulances.
