Ukraine receives 10 ambulances from the Korean government

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has received 10 ambulances from the Korean government to provide emergency medical care during the war. The ambulances will be used to provide the necessary assistance to patients who require additional life-sustaining measures during transportation to and between hospitals.

“For almost two years of full-scale war, russia has damaged 103 ambulances, destroyed 258 and captured another 125. This is at a time when the need for ambulances has increased dramatically. In addition, the medical infrastructure is constantly under fire and attack from the enemy. Our task is to provide patients with the necessary medical care despite this. We are grateful to all our partners for their reliable support and assistance. The 10 ambulances donated by the Korean government will help our heroic medics save even more lives,” said Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko.

The ambulances are equipped with the means to provide life-saving assistance to patients during medical transportation.

“We hope that thanks to the ambulances provided by Korea, more precious lives can be saved. In addition, our government will continue to provide practical support in the medical and rehabilitation fields for the people of Ukraine in the future,” said Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine Kim Hyung-tae.

In total, Korea plans to transfer 100 vehicles. In December last year, Ukraine received 30 ambulances; another 70 ambulances will be delivered by the end of March this year.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Korea has repeatedly helped Ukraine’s healthcare system by sending vaccines, medical devices, and medicines.
