Trainings for PHC Leaders: Effective Hospital and Healthcare Facility Management
In September-October 2018, management teams from PHC facilities contracted by the National Health Service of Ukraine have the opportunity to participate in a series of trainings conducted in Lviv, Poltava and Vinnytsia oblasts. The training programme focuses on the practical aspects of effective financial, economic and legal management of hospitals and healthcare facilities.
The trainings are organized in the framework of the "Serving People, Improving Health" Joint Project of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD, World Bank), in partnership with the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) and with the support of the USAID Project "HIV Reforms in Action", Deloitte Consulting, LLP.
About 10 teams of 2-3 representatives from each healthcare facility, including a physician-in-chief, an owner's representative / accountant / deputy physician-in-chief / chief of staff, can participate in one training.
PHC facility teams interested in participating in the training "Financial, economic and legal bases of an effective PHC facility management" are invited to submit an online application and a letter of interest (in Ukrainian) by August 31, 2018. It is important to note that only representatives from healthcare facilities contracted by the NHSU who have not participated in similar trainings can submit applications.

In July, 2018 two similar trainings were held in Kyiv and Odesa. Experts and certiefied trainers shared practical knowledge about the health reform process, focusing on effective solutions to various legal, administrative, HR and financial challenges of the transition to the new financing model based on the "money follows the patient" principle.
