Since the first days of the full-scale war, russia has damaged 1376 medical facilities and destroyed 184 more
Since the first day of the full-scale war, the russian army has continued to target Ukraine's medical infrastructure. The enemy is systematically destroying hospitals, outpatient clinics, maternity clinics and polyclinics.
Since the full-scale invasion, russian missiles and shells have destroyed 184 medical facilities and damaged another 1,376.
The medical infrastructure of Kharkiv, Kherson, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv oblasts suffered the greatest losses.
However, despite the constant bombardment, Ukraine continues to restore medical facilities, as the restoration of medical infrastructure is one of the key and priority aspects for ensuring the availability of medical care to the population.
In particular, as of the end of June 2023, 333 medical facilities have been fully restored and another 357 have been partially restored.
Most of the restored medical facilities are in Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Chernihiv oblasts.
Thus, despite the daily shelling and the burden faced by Ukraine's healthcare system, the Ministry of Health and its partners will continue to work to restore Ukraine's medical infrastructure from the effects of the war.
