Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine has transferred almost UAH 134 million to hospitals operating under temporary occupation

Ukrainian doctors, even risking their lives, until the last moment do not leave their jobs and provide medical care to Ukrainian citizens who are under temporary occupation.

Ukraine does not leave its doctors, and the Ministry of Health and the National Health Service continue to transfer funds to those medical institutions in the occupation, with the management of which proper communication has been established.

Since the beginning of 2023, medical institutions operating in the temporarily occupied territories continue to receive funding from the NHSU under a special package “Ensuring the preservation of human resources for providing medical care to the population located in the temporarily occupied territory”. This package allows transferring monthly funds to medical institutions in the occupation, which is equal to the monthly salary fund of medical workers.

64 medical institutions located in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine receive funding under this package. Of these, 22 medical institutions are located in the Luhansk oblast, 15 medical institutions each in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk oblasts, and another 12 in the Kherson oblast.

In the first two months of this year, hospitals located in the temporarily occupied territories have already received UAH 133,808,694.

In 2022, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, medical institutions under temporary occupation have received 1/12 of the annual funding every month.
