Seven all-terrain ambulances donated by a charitable association from Switzerland
The Swiss charitable association Free Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, handed over seven fully equipped medical transport vehicles based on Toyota Land Cruiser J78 off-road vehicles to medical institutions in Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Poltava, Ternopil and Cherkasy oblasts.
The all-terrain vehicles will help rescue victims of armed aggression, quickly transport them to stabilization centers and provide emergency care in critical cases.
The all-terrain vehicles are equipped with a full set of medical equipment designed for use in remote areas with damaged roads inaccessible to conventional ambulances.
“Our main goal is to protect the health and lives of Ukrainians. Therefore, we continue to initiate the supply of specialized vehicles to be able to promptly provide the necessary assistance to those in need. This time, seven vehicles went to different parts of Ukraine for the respective medical units.”
“We are committed to continuous support for Ukraine and call on the world to unite against russian aggression. The safety of civilians is our shared responsibility. We call on all organizations and countries to join our initiative so that Ukraine can receive more of these vehicles. The heroic efforts of medics in Ukraine need our joint support.”
For reference: The charitable association Free Ukraine was founded in 2014 and is based in Geneva, Switzerland. This non-profit organization unites the Ukrainian diaspora and representatives of other nationalities in Switzerland and abroad, who are committed to supporting Ukraine and making efforts to make the country safe for life and health.
Since the beginning of the war, Free Ukraine has donated over 227 ambulances and evacuation vehicles to Ukraine.
