A Memorandum of Understanding between the institutions was signed during the Third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen held in September 2023.

The partnership focuses on the development of pediatric, surgical, and oncohematological medical services, aiming to improve the quality of care for children in Ukraine, introduce advanced technologies, and facilitate knowledge exchange between medical institutions.

Key areas of cooperation include:

Pediatrics:

  • Sharing knowledge and practices in pediatric care, including modern diagnostic and treatment methods for childhood diseases;

  • Introducing European standards in the delivery of medical care to children.

Surgery:

  • Joint efforts to enhance surgical techniques, including training of physicians in the latest surgical methods;

  • Organizing internships for Ukrainian surgeons at Schneider Children’s Medical Center, enabling them to gain insight into advanced pediatric surgical practices.

Oncohematology:

  • Collaboration in the treatment of pediatric oncology cases, including exchange of experience in chemotherapy and patient rehabilitation;

  • Studying innovative approaches to treating hematological diseases such as leukemia.

Rehabilitation:

  • Developing rehabilitation programs for children following surgical interventions, incorporating physical therapy and psychological support;

  • Implementing evidence-based rehabilitation practices drawn from international experience.

Modernization of healthcare services:
