As of October 9, 2025, significant progress has been made as part of the rehabilitation of the medical and diagnostic building of the National Children's Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdyt.” The scope of work includes repair of external structures (facades and window frames), interior finishing of premises, refurbishment of civil engineering networks, ceilings, walls, and lighting upgrades.

In particular, on the facades of Blocks B, V, and D, the dismantling of the old ventilated facade and cladding panels has been completed, and the installation of new ones has begun. Additionally, the project encompassed the installation of brackets, insulation, framing, and tiling, which collectively occupied over 3,000 square meters.

At the same time, 157 window frame dismantlings were performed, and 217 new window frames with duplicate structures have been installed in all three Blocks.

The scope of completed works also includes the laying of outdoor lighting cables, the installation of the fire protection barriers along the slopes, and the renovation of the end section of Block V's facade.

Concurrently, the renovation of the internal premises continues at a steady pace:

In Block V, the dismantling of suspended ceilings, wall panels, partitions, and windows on several floors has been completed. Wall joint sealing in cleanrooms—areas with enhanced sterility requirements such as operating rooms, intensive care units, and laboratories—has beencarried out. The walls, slopes, and lighting systems have been renovated, with more than 160 new fixtures installed. Meanwhile, work is continuing on floor repairs and door systems’ replacement.

In Block D, works are underway to replace drywall, Armstrong suspended ceilings (modular ceilings comprising metal gridwork frames and tiles), plaster finishes, radiators, and wall reveals. Also, interior painting works have been completed, old ceramic tiles have been dismantled, and the entrance porch has been newly tiled.

In Block B, finishing and renovation works are also in progress. Dismantling and installation of ceilings, walls, windows, and lighting systems have been completed across several floors of the building. In particular, HPL and Armstrong ceiling panels are being replaced; metal structures and duplicate windows are being installed. Overall, a complete work cycle has been implemented in this block to bring the premises into compliance with current safety, sanitary, and comfort requirements.

The hospital’s “School of Superheroes” educational center, which provided children with the opportunity to attend classes and continue learning during treatment, has also undergone renovation. It operates under the patronage of the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, and is part of a national network that has been functioning for several years in children’s hospitals across the country.

The comprehensive restoration of “Okhmatdyt” is currently underway, with each phase encompassing critical components. The project team, contractors, and involved specialists are making every effort to ensure that the hospital resumes full-scale operations as soon as possible.

For reference: Riola-Module LTD is responsible for the project implementation. Technical supervision is provided by the international engineering company Eptisa Servicios de Ingeniería. Quality control is carried out by Akadem Bud, while the engineering company Arkon ensures architectural supervision. The project is funded by the “Okhmatdyt—Healthy Childhood” Charitable Foundation.
