M.I. Pirogov Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Hospital (Ukraine) and the Institute of Emergency Medicine (Chișinău, Republic of Moldova)
A Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions was signed during the Third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen in September 2023.
The partnership between the Institute of Emergency Medicine of the Republic of Moldova and the M.I. Pirogov Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Hospital is part of an international medical cooperation initiative aimed at knowledge and experience exchange to enhance the quality of patient care—particularly in the treatment of acute cerebrovascular accidents (stroke).
Key areas of collaboration:
- Exchange of medical technologies:
Implementation of endovascular treatment methods for acute cerebrovascular accidents, including thrombectomy and the treatment of cerebral artery aneurysms. - Modern treatment approaches:
Mastering cutting-edge methods across all stages of medical care for stroke patients. - Joint research projects:
Conducting collaborative studies to advance medical science and innovation in the region. - Development of clinical protocols:
Creation of localized clinical guidelines for the management of acute cerebrovascular conditions. - Practical internships:
Organizing internships for surgeons and emergency physicians to enhance their qualifications and clinical skills. - Regular meetings:
Holding coordination meetings—both in-person and online—to define goals and action plans for effective collaboration.
This partnership aims not only to improve the quality of medical services in Vinnytsia region, but also to increase the accessibility of high-quality healthcare for the broader population, thereby contributing to improved public health outcomes in the region.
