Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin (Germany) and the Regional Clinical Center for Neurosurgery and Neurology (Uzhhorod, Ukraine)
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the institutions during the International Medical Partnership Conference held in Kyiv on May 22, 2024, with the participation of the First Lady of Ukraine and the Minister of Health of Ukraine.
Charité and the Regional Clinical Center for Neurosurgery and Neurology in Uzhhorod have launched a partnership focused on enhancing neurosurgical care for patients.
The primary goals of the collaboration are to introduce advanced surgical techniques, improve the professional training of medical personnel, and develop telemedicine services. The cooperation includes educational programs, joint surgeries, and the exchange of best practices. In particular, Charité is providing access to its cutting-edge developments in minimally invasive neurosurgery, enabling shorter recovery times for patients.
Regular telemedicine consultations are also planned to facilitate discussions of complex clinical cases and strengthen international clinical collaboration.
