Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin (Germany) and Ternopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital (Ukraine)

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed during the International Medical Partnership Conference held in Kyiv on May 22, 2024, with the participation of the First Lady of Ukraine and the Minister of Health of Ukraine.

Charité and the Ternopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital have initiated a partnership aimed at improving the quality of psychiatric care in Ukraine. The collaboration focuses on the implementation of modern treatment methods for mental health disorders, the advancement of professional medical education, and comprehensive support for patients during the rehabilitation process.

The partnership envisions the organization of training programs and expert exchanges, joint psychiatric research projects, and the adaptation of international treatment protocols. Special emphasis is placed on the development of rehabilitation programs for patients with chronic psychiatric conditions and the integration of innovative psychotherapeutic approaches.
