Another memorandum of medical partnership was signed between the Clinical Center for Pediatric Medicine and a modern hospital in Turkey
Recently, the Clinical Center for Pediatric Medicine in Lviv and the modern Turkish hospital Acıbadem have signed another medical partnership. This allows Ukrainian and Turkish doctors to strengthen their cooperation and reach a new level of opportunities for treating young patients.
It should be noted that the medical teams of the Center for Pediatric Medicine have long had a long-term cooperation with the Turkish clinic and leading specialist in reconstructive surgery, Professor Hakan Agir. For many years in a row, the doctor has been coming to the medical institution on a charitable mission and performing free surgeries for children with severe maxillofacial defects.
Thanks to the memorandum, medics will be able to adopt best practices in such areas as neurosurgery, oncology, oncohematology and transplantation, as well as introduce new methods of treatment. The main goal of the cooperation is to improve the quality of medical services for patients and develop the professional skills of doctors.
It should be recalled that the international medical partnership initiative was launched last year at the Third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen under the patronage of First Lady Olena Zelenska. Back then, 25 Ukrainian hospitals entered into partnerships with the world’s leading hospitals.
Today, 43 advanced hospitals from 21 countries are twinned with Ukrainian medical institutions. These include the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Moldova, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Israel, Sweden, North Macedonia, Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Canada, the Netherlands, Poland, France, Romania, Turkey, and others. The partnership involves 36 Ukrainian medical institutions from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Chernihiv, Ternopil, Zakarpattia oblasts and the city of Kyiv.
A total of 57 memorandums of cooperation have been signed between Ukrainian and international healthcare institutions. The development of the initiative allows Ukrainian doctors to share their own experience and learn from the experience of their foreign colleagues to strengthen the healthcare sector in Ukraine.
This is the third memorandum for the Lviv Center for Pediatric Medicine signed as part of the international medical partnership. The first one was signed by the Lviv medical institution with the Princess Maxima Center in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
