Another 15 ambulances will be purchased for funds raised through UNITED24

In accordance with the decision of the commission on the allocation of funds to meet the needs of healthcare, Medical Procurement of Ukraine has signed contracts for the purchase of 15 ambulances with a total value of UAH 40,500,000 for the needs of the medical sector for funds raised through the UNITED24 fundraising platform.

These are C-type vehicles - a kind of mobile intensive care units. They are equipped with everything that is necessary: oxygen cylinders, cardiac monitors, defibrillators, electrocardiographs, artificial lung ventilation devices, etc. This equipment can be used to save a person in case of cardiogenic shock, provide assistance during childbirth, perform resuscitation, provide general anesthesia, primary surgical treatment of wounds, etc.

“The UNITED24 initiative has recently turned one year old. People from 110 countries have supported Ukrainian medics. Among the donors are international and Ukrainian businesses, international charities, public figures, opinion leaders from different countries... Money transfers and targeted contributions are used to purchase medical equipment and ambulances that save lives of Ukrainians. As for ambulances, 176 units have been purchased over the year of the fundraising platform's operation. Now we have 15 more. This increases the ability to save the lives of Ukrainians, because as of now, 103 ambulances have been damaged in the war, 251 have been destroyed, and 125 have been seized,” says Deputy Minister of Health for Digital Development Mariia Karchevych.

Earlier, Medical Procurement of Ukraine purchased 40 ambulances with a total value of UAH 104 million for funds raised through UNITED24.
