Ukraine strengthens cooperation with Estonia in eHealth development
The electronic healthcare system implementation team consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Health, the National Health Service of Ukraine and the SE “Electronic Health” held a regular working meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy of Estonia, where a bilateral workshop on the exchange of expert knowledge in the field of medical data exchange and the possibility of using artificial intelligence for the development of electronic healthcare was held.
Future cooperation is aimed at establishing safe and effective interaction between electronic healthcare systems of countries, which will allow ensuring the exchange of medical information in the future, thereby improving the quality of treatment of patients staying abroad. In particular, it will improve communication between doctors and patients, as well as significantly reduce the need for additional research or diagnostics. Among other things, this will allow full adapting of the Ukrainian healthcare system to the European medical space in the future.
“Due to the full-scale invasion, many Ukrainians now live and receive medical care abroad. Regardless of the location of our fellow citizens, we strive to ensure that all Ukrainians have access to high-quality, timely and highly qualified medical care,” comments Mariia Karchevych, Deputy Minister of Health for digital development.
We would like to thank our colleagues from the Estonian government for their fruitful meeting and willingness to jointly develop eHealth at the global level.
