Ukrainian healthcare institutions will receive surgical instruments from benefactors from the Czech Republic. The transfer took place thanks to the cooperation of the International Diplomatic Mission of Public Diplomacy in the Czech Republic with a reliable partner and donor, the Skupina ČEZ Conglomerate, and with the support of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

The total number of donated instruments is more than 2,700. This humanitarian aid is aimed at improving the quality of medical services and strengthening the healthcare system in Ukraine. The new functional equipment will have a positive impact on the efficiency of medical institutions.

“Surgical instruments are important for providing quality medical care to patients, especially in critical situations where every second matters. The received surgical instruments are an indispensable help in our daily work, especially now, when the need for medical equipment has increased more than ever. We express our sincere gratitude to our international partners for this contribution.”
Mykhailo Melnyk, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Organizational and Medical Work at the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine

This medical facility has already received some of the instruments from benefactors.

For reference: Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the International Diplomatic Mission of Public Diplomacy in the Czech Republic has been focusing all its efforts on helping Ukrainians affected by the war. Since February 26, 2022, a separate unit of the organization has provided temporary accommodation for migrants from Ukraine in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, supporting 320 people. Assistance continues to be provided to this day, including humanitarian initiatives to support the Ukrainian healthcare system.
