Trauma departments of hospitals in Zhytomyr oblast received modern equipment

modern equipment for traumatology and orthopedics was received as humanitarian aid by the municipal non-profit enterprise “olevsk central hospital” of the olevsk city council in zhytomyr oblast. these are primarily external fixation devices used in the treatment of patients with broken bones; titanium plates used in the case of fractures of the lower legs; spokes and extracts. the institution also received tools: electric saws used for cutting joints, as well as drills, cutters, and the like.

at the weekly staff meeting of the ministry of health, project director khrystyna brodych presented the healthlink project, which aims to accelerate ukraine's efforts to overcome hiv. healthlink is one of the largest hiv testing projects in ukraine. it is implemented with the support of usaid and embodied by the ngo "100 percent of life" in cooperation with the alliance for public health. every third newly identified person living with hiv (plhiv) in the country has been tested as part of the healthlink project.

First bank for long-term storage of red blood cells created in Ukraine

UNICEF has installed the first cold storage facilities for safe storage of vaccines

every child should receive routine vaccinations, even in war conditions. to ensure high-quality storage of any vaccines in ukraine, the united nations children's fund (unicef) purchased 26 cold storage facilities, which were sent to 20 ukrainian regions, including central state warehouses. the first two cold storage rooms were installed in the lviv and khmelnytskyi oblasts in february, which made it possible to store vaccines for almost 700 thousand children. the remaining cameras will be installed during the first half of 2023.
