A working meeting was held with the delegation of the French Embassy in Ukraine and the Association of French employers MEDEF
Today, under the chairmanship of Viktor Liashko, Minister of Health of Ukraine, a meeting was held with representatives of the French Embassy in Ukraine and the Association of French employers MEDEF.
“France has been helping Ukraine since the first days of the war. We are grateful for the support in the healthcare sector, timely response to the needs of the medical sector and opportunities for Ukrainian citizens to receive affordable medical care during this difficult time. We will continue to coordinate our joint efforts for the victory of democratic values in the world, firmly holding the medical front together. However, even now we must also think about the future: for example, renewable energy projects for the restoration of destroyed hospitals or the localization of production of international companies in Ukraine,” Viktor Liashko said.
During the meeting, issues of humanitarian assistance were discussed, namely:
- agreement to provide Ukraine with mobile hospitals within 80-120 days as part of a joint French-Spanish project;
- provision of mobile ultrasound devices for the military on the first front line, which allows quick identifying of the degree of damage to internal organs in case of injury;
- training modules on military medicine in first aid;
- training of specialists who provide psychological support to those who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.
In addition, they drew the attention of our partners to the problem of delays in the supply of French-made medicines and equipment purchased by the Ukrainian side at the expense of the state budget. This issue is especially critical for cancer drugs and thrombolytics.
