A modern angiograph used to save patients with cardiovascular diseases has been launched in Dnipropetrovsk oblast - Viktor Liashko

Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko together with people’s deputy of Ukraine Roman Kaptelov visited the CNE “Pavlohrad Intensive Care Hospital” in Dnipropetrovsk oblast, where, due to the purchase of the Ministry of Health, a state-of-the-art angiograph was installed and works. Due to the latest equipment, the hospital has already launched a long-awaited reperfusion center, where doctors can provide the necessary and specialized care to patients with stroke and myocardial infarction.

“Another state-of-the-art angiograph has started its work in the Dnipropetrovsk oblast. Due to this renewal, the hospital, which provides round-the-clock specialized multidisciplinary medical care, has a specialized center where doctors will be able to conduct more than 250 interventions per year and save the lives and health of patients. Despite the war, we continue to do everything possible to ensure that residents of both large cities and remote areas of Ukraine receive high-quality medical services. We talked to the hospital staff and understand that now we need to focus our efforts on covering the need for an additional MRI machine. The city authorities have already directed efforts to repair the premises, and we will use the funds provided for in the 2023 budget to purchase this equipment,” said the minister of health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko.

Such new planned operations are going to start from the beginning of the new year.

Angiographic equipment allows examining and treating vascular pathologies of various organs and systems, determining the place of narrowing, blockage, or expansion of the vessel, the presence of internal bleeding, the spread of the tumor process, and other processes and diseases that are extremely difficult to detect in any other way, and sometimes impossible.

In addition, the latest equipment allows quickly and reliably diagnosing diseases of the human cardiovascular system, which helps cardiologists and neurosurgeons to provide medical care as quickly as possible in the event of a stroke or myocardial infarction.

It is important that the hospital’s medical team has been trained to work with the equipment and is ready to work in the new reperfusion center. In addition, the equipment has already been installed and a license for its operation has been obtained.

Also, a modern X-ray machine has appeared on the basis of the Pavlohrad Intensive Care Hospital.

The minister of health of Ukraine stressed that one of the priority tasks for the ministry is the modernization of healthcare institutions. therefore, the MoH will continue to make every effort to ensure that healthcare institutions are provided with everything necessary even in such difficult times.

Separately, Viktor Liashko added that each medical institution is obliged to do everything possible to ensure that medical equipment is quickly installed, put into operation and works for the benefit of patients as soon as possible.

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine recalls that in 2021 the state enterprise “Medical Procurement of Ukraine”, by order of the Ministry of Health, purchased 24 stationary digital angiographic X-ray systems for UAH 210 million. Supply, installation and adjustment of medical equipment to healthcare institutions in Ukraine continues even during the war.
