Ukraine joins the Global Digital Health Partnership

on september 3-4, dr. ulana suprun represented ukraine at the third global digital health partnership (gdhp) summit in london (uk). this year, ukraine has become one of the new countries attending the gdhp summit bringing together digital health leaders from 23 countries and territories and the world health organisation (who) to collaborate and share experiences, supporting the improved delivery of digital health services around the world.

Ukrainian government approves draft law abolishing special permits for traditional medicine practice

the cabinet of ministers of ukraine has approved resolution on the health ministry’s draft law on amendments to some laws of ukraine. the draft law excludes article 74.1 from the fundamentals of the legislation of ukraine on health care. this article regulates the procedure of issuance and revocation of a special permit to practice traditional medicine (healing), including the issuance of an expert conclusion on person’s healing ability by the ministry of health of ukraine. the above-mentioned amendments will enter into force once the parliament approves the draft law.

PHC reform: 73 private PHC providers signed agreements with the NHSU during the second wave

to date, 85 private phc providers (both clinics and physicians entrepreneurs) have signed agreements with the national health service of ukraine (nhsu) and joined the reform. this means that ukrainians can now sign declarations with family doctors, general practitioners and pediatricians working at private health facilities and receive primary care services free of charge, as under the new healthcare financing model, these services are covered by the state and paid by the nhsu.
